Dr Blue performs in front of a healthy crowd at Craftwork Brewery during the opening of the Harbour St Jazz and Blues Festival in Oamaru last night.

A handful of acts performed across the town with Dr Blue at Craftwork Brewery, Merc 6 at the Grainstore and Paul Ubana-Jones at the Brydone Hotel, all drawing very good crowds.

More than 30 acts will be performing throughout the three-day event.

There also a selection of workshops for people looking to improve their jazz knowledge or their playing ability for instruments.

The festival runs all weekend long with the grand finale at the Loan & Merc tomorrow night at 6.30pm.
