About 10 more volunteers are needed to help the North Otago RSA with its annual Poppy Day appeal on April 17.
Usually, about 40 to 50 volunteers are rostered for one or two hours each between 9am and 4pm at sales points around Oamaru, including the three supermarkets, raising about $8000 each year for the North Otago RSA welfare fund.
Poppy Day co-ordinator Loreen McKay said yesterday anyone could help during the day.
''We get some people who are not members, but may have had family members serving overseas and want to help in that way,'' she said.
All the money raised stays in North Otago and is used to help support service people and dependants.
People can contact or go into the RSA in Itchen St, where there is a list of sites and rosters.
