When a pair of mates went to a dance at the St Kilda Community Hall and saw two girls from across the dance floor, they quickly made their choices.
Fast-forward to today, and Darby, 86, and Eve (nee Jenkins) Gill, 85, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married the year they met, on October 25, 1958, at St Martin’s Anglican Church, in North East Valley.
