If the request was for babies with the name Oliver, there are now, indeed, plenty more.
Oliver was the most popular baby name for Otago last year, nine boys receiving the name, according to the 564 birth notices for babies published in the Otago Daily Times.
Also, three babies were named Ollie.
Oliver Whaiunui was born at home in Dunedin on October 21.
His parents, Hone (32) and Rebekah (29) Whaiunui, had a list of boys names prepared - Asher, Eli and Elijah - but when they saw their newborn, they deemed these unsuitable.
The family returned to a catalogue of names in search of a suitable replacement.
''Oliver really stood out and we just really liked it and he suited it.''
Mrs Whaiunui said she was a fan of the Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist and her son was fair-haired like the orphan character.
Oliver's middle names are Johannes Piki. He has two siblings, Tylah (3) and Arie (2).
Mrs Whaiunui said the couple had considered the name Ollie but decided to keep it formal.
In 2012, six babies were named Oliver, but the most popular first name for boys in the birth notices was Jack (11). Last year, there were four Jacks.
Of all birth notices published in the ODT last year, 281 were for boys and 283 for girls.
The most popular girl's first name was Lucy (8).
In 2012, the most popular girl's first name was Charlotte (11) and six were named Lucy.
This year, eight babies were named Charlie, Charley or Charlee and four were girls.
Of the five babies named George in the past year, only one was born after Prince George of Cambridge was born, on July 22.
Of the babies named Georgina (2), Georgia (3) or Georgie (1), three were born after the prince was.
More unusual names last year included Achilles, Oakley, Zepplin and Zion for boys and Ainur, Aiwa, Oltilie and Rayana for girls.
Names for babies starting with A were the most popular overall (59), followed by those starting with L (57), M (49) or J (48).
Twelve names began with Z, three with Q and one each with V and Z.
No first names started with U or Y, as was the case in 2012.
