Two people had to be rescued from a vehicle that was left dangling off a cliff after it crashed off a rural Coromandel road yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services, including a Westpac rescue helicopter crew, were called to the crash on the gravel Tapu-Coroglen Road just before 5pm.
A Northern Fire Communications spokesperson said they found the vehicle "dangling off a cliff" 10 metres below the road and but held up by a tree. Two people were inside the vehicle.
Both were successfully removed using rescue gear, the spokesperson said.
