Missed out on a ticket for Sunday’s crunch Fifa Women’s World Cup game between New Zealand and Switzerland at Dunedin Stadium?
Never fear, the Dunedin Fifa Fan Festival has you covered with a live big-screen broadcast of the game at 7pm.
Festival co-ordinator Eleanor Riley said with the stadium a sellout, the decision was made to screen the game in the Town Hall to allow more fans to be part of the action.
Until now the fan zone, a free and unticketed event, has not hosted live broadcasts of world cup games held in Dunedin.
The Korea v Morocco match would still screen at 4.30pm and other entertainment included a performance by the Topp Twins and a New Zealand tribute to Swiss yodelling.
"Sunday was already going to be a fantastic day at the festival and now it will be even better," Ms Riley said.
For those with tickets to the game, the Last Mile Walk to the Stadium will leave the Octagon at 5pm on Sunday and include fire performers, stilt walkers and the creation of a mural by artist Mr G.
