Dunedin surveyors Terramark Ltd have gained a national award for their work on the 54-apartment Santa Sabina development near the Dunedin Botanic Garden and Northeast Valley in the city.
The New Zealand Institute of Surveyors annual conference in Dunedin last weekend attracted more than than 300 delegates from around the country, Australia and Asia, with Terramark winning the Gold Award for Excellence.
Head panel judge Dr Bill Robertson said in a statement Terramark's Santa Sabina project was worthy of the award as it represented surveying excellence in concept formulation, civil roading and services design.
The work on North Rd involved development on a sensitive steep site and incorporated an existing heritage building, the former Santa Sabina Convent. Apartment construction began early in 2007, with the completed units having individual titles.
