A former Otago Boys' High School pupil is celebrating his success after graduating in the Royal New Zealand Air Force's latest course.
Aircraftman Toby Adams won the Hawea Shield for the best male recruit in physical education and recreational training.
AC Adams, who attended Otago Boys' High School in Dunedin and St Peter's College in Gore, made his family proud with the win.
His brother and father were Territorial Army soldiers, his grandfather was in the army, and his uncle spent 25 years in the navy.
''We have a bit of a family tradition when it comes to serving. I've always wanted to work on aircraft, so the Air Force was a natural choice for me,'' AC Adams said.
