Preliminary work will start soon on a road improvement project near Gorge Rd.
Southland District Council contractors SouthRoads is about to begin reconstruction of a 1km section of the Gorge Rd-Invercargill Highway route between Mokotua and Waimatua.
The road shoulders will be cleared and drainage improved in the first stage, before Christmas.
