The popular event, which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the past two years, will be held this weekend at Macandrew Bay Hall.
Otago Peninsula artists group OpenArts Inc chairman Roger Weston said the art fair was a great way for artists to connect directly with the public in a relaxed space with a friendly atmosphere and live music.
"The artists enjoy it because they get that direct contact with art buyers, and can talk about the ideas behind their work," he said.
"Also, we often have artists demonstrating their techniques during the fair, which is great for people to see."
The OpenArts Annual Art Fair will feature work by local artists Anne Baldock, Gemma Baldock, Kathy Palenski, Riki Julin, Hannah Bailly, Soheila Safari, Roger Weston, Eleanor Gavin, Annie Pepers, Adele Patrick, Yvonne Sutherland, Graeme Atkinson, Victoria Pryde, Shukuru Munro, Di and Brian Miller, Jenny Longstaff, Bruce Bond and Neil Griffen, Susan Marbrow, and Jan McLean.
The works on show will include paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics, pottery, jewellery, writings, books, posters, dolls, woodwork, and crafts.
Mr Weston said there would also be some special "mystery" works from new members.
"We are thrilled with the huge array of different styles of work that will be showcased during the art fair — there really will be something for everyone."
After a preview on Friday at 5pm, the OpenArts Annual Art Fair will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
