The Remarkables and Coronet Peak were once again linked by a string of skiers, snowboarders, downhill cyclists, kayakers, runners and uphill cyclists in the annual Peak to Peak multisport race.
Almost 400 competitors, comprising 63 individuals and 70 teams, took part in the 44km race from a starting line at the Remarkables to finish at Coronet Peak.
Wanaka's Braden Currie won the overall race, ahead of second and third individual placegetters Dougal Allan and Adam Milne.
Team ProActive Physio 1 won comfortably from team Concrete Peak and the Regretables in a time of 2hr 12min 14sec.
Genevieve Matthews, of Rotorua, won the women's section and Otago Boys' High School won the schools section with a time of 2:15.22, which would have placed them third overall in the teams division.
In the veterans' division, Nathan Favaae proved his abilities against younger competitors, placing fourth overall and winning the veterans section. New Queenstown resident Steve Gurney came second.
