Dixon found not guilty

Queenstown bouncer Jonathan Dixon has been found not guilty of two charges arising from an incident last year, in which a man cracked his head on the concrete floor of a nightclub in the resort.

Dixon (42), who was on trial in the Invercargill District Court, had denied charges of causing grievous bodily harm with reckless disregard for the safety of others, and assaulting Thomas Ian Beatson in Subculture on January 21 last year.

Dixon entered the public eye in 2011, when he released CCTV footage on the internet of England rugby player Mike Tindall, who is married to the Queen's granddaughter, Zara Phillips, cavorting with an ex-girlfriend in the bar where Dixon was working at the time.
