My teacher
He says Rhyming is Bad
A speeding rainbow of nations
The Rhyme, He says
Is sour like a lime
A poem, He says
Needs Substance
Needs Soul
A poem, He says
Must be like a bowl of cold porridge
Solid
Substantial
Something to sink your teeth into
But my teacher just needs time
Time to learn to like the Rhyme
Because in small doses
Just like a lime
A Rhyme can be just as
Substantial
As any of J.K.Baxter's pics.
So teacher
Please learn to love the Rhyme
Because in time a lime may taste like
Wine.
