The Korean log ship Chitral yesterday remained at anchor off Taiaroa Head at the entrance to Dunedin's harbour for the sixth day.
The 186m-long Chitral has been linked with STX Pan Ocean Shipping Company, a listed South Korean bulk carrier shipping line which is in receivership.
It was understood, but not confirmed, the Chitral might be one of about 249 vessels STX has on charter.
A North Island agent for the Chitral did not respond to calls yesterday.
The Chitral has been scheduled to come up the harbour to Port Chalmers about 1am for several of the past few days, but has remained anchored since late Wednesday.
An STX-owned vessel, the New Giant, was arrested by High Court order while at anchor in Poverty Bay, late last week.
