From leaps to splits and high kicks, the best moves in Otago were on show at the New Zealand Competitive Aerobics Federation (NZCAF) regional final at Kavanagh College in Dunedin at the weekend.

Event organiser Kerry Hockley  said the event attracted between 100 and 120 competitors.

Anybody could compete, and those taking part ranged from year 3 school pupils to a competitor in her 30s with children of her own.

"It went really well — we always have such a great turnout every year," Miss Hockley said.

However, she had been surprised by the numbers who came along to watch the competition, she said.

"This year for finals the whole auditorium was packed and it was extremely loud in support."

Otago Daily Times photographer Linda Robertson captured the action
