Four Otago Museum staff are attending the annual Asia Pacific science centre conference in South Korea this week.
Museum collections, research and experience director Clare Wilson and senior staff members Helen Horner, Andrew Charlton and Catherine Gadd are attending the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres (Aspac) conference, being held south of Seoul.
Ms Wilson said the three other staff were giving talks at the five-day conference, devoted this year to ''Engaging Society with Science''.
In 2010, Otago Museum was the first New Zealand museum to host an Aspac conference. Attending the conference was a cost-effective way of keeping in touch with overseas science centre colleagues, including in Singapore, Thailand, and Dunedin's Chinese sister city, Shanghai, and Guangdong, in southern China, she said.
