Mr Johnson, an ecology student at the University of Otago, had his first jab five weeks ago.
He said he got the vaccine because he believed it worked and it was good for the country to get it done. Te Kaika administrator Hector Nafatali said most people getting vaccinated were receiving their second shot.
People passing the bus were happy to stop what they were doing and spend about 20 minutes going through the vaccination process and observation period, he said.
