John McGlashan College pupil Flook Chinsaswat’s work uses technical skills to evoke certain feelings and thoughts, specifically those of angst and fear. "I chose to investigate this theme as most people know what it’s like to be anxious or scared; it’s essentially universal, and because of this, the symbolism used in my artwork such as a muted colour scheme, expressive brushwork, etc then becomes easier to interpret in the intended way."
