Organisers of the 89th annual Arrowtown Spring Show are calling for entries from throughout Wakatipu.

Be it baking, flowers or art, bring your talents to Arrowtown's Athenaeum Hall, committee member Wendy Clarke says. The show is on Friday, September 21.

This year the judges would be looking for unusual and unique entries, Mrs Clarke said.

"They don't have to be the best crafts. It is all about entering."

Mrs Clarke has been involved with the show for more than 20 years. She said it would be good to see new people of all ages and abilities entering.

"There is something for everyone on the day. We've got entries for the kids, the parents and the elderly. It is such a tradition," Mrs Clarke said.

"We would love to see more crafts there, more floral art and more baking. We are looking for the unusual," she said.

Apart from the annual show at Glenorchy, this was the only spring show in the area and Mrs Clarke wanted Wakatipu residents to become involved.

"It's their show, too." There will be competitions and stalls of vegetables, crafts, jewellery and art.

Mrs Clarke said entrants could drop their displays to the hall on Thursday, September 20 between 4pm and 8pm or on Friday, September 21 between 8am and 9.30am.

The show begins at 1pm on Friday, September 21. Entry is $3.
