It’s rare to see firefighters looking cheerful when a house is burning to the ground, but that was the case during a successful training session in Dunedin yesterday.
Firefighters undertook exercises during a controlled burn at a house in Harraway St, Green Island.

Lookout Point station officer Ed Oskam said the exercise provided training in a range of areas, from using breathing apparatus to water application techniques.
