Harmonious singing by some fine Otago voices entertained scores of Wakatipu residents when Remarkable Vocals presented "Jabberwocky", near Lake Hayes, on Saturday.

The choral ensemble featured David Cantwell, Cheryl Collie, Carolyn Crum, Alison Frude, Trish Hamilton, Anna Humphries, Gavin Jack, Rachel Ross, Paul Schoenbaechler and Tony Sutherland. They were directed by singer Sue Patterson and accompanied by Ms Frude on piano.

Introduced by master of ceremonies and singer Chris Parvin, the ensemble sang Nella Fantasia, Ave Verum Corpus and Sing We and Chant It to begin their latest show in the Thomas Brown Gallery on Speargrass Flat Rd.

Auckland soprano Emma Roxburgh was guest singer and performed Lascia Ch'io Pianga by Handel and Summertime by Gershwin.

The showcase continued with solo and group serenades by Schubert, Bach, Chilcott, Mozart, the title song and more, all to rapturous applause.
