The Clinton Lions Club gave the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust $60,000 yesterday.
Representatives from the club met trustees and rescue crew at the Taieri airfield in Mosgiel to present the cheque.
The club raised $54,000 from an auction and swede competition, a family gave $5000 and club members decided round up the figure to $60,000.
