Stunning time-lapse sequences, creative visuals, great skiers and deep powder were highlights of the excerpt from the award-winning feature film All.I.Can, which looked at snow sports and the environment.
Kadoma shows American pro kayakers Chris Korbulic and Ben Stookesbury as they followed South African kayaker Hendri Coetzee into the Democratic Republic of Congo for a first descent of the dangerous Lukuga River in December 2010. The trip was to be Coetzee's last.
White Water Grand Prix, Reel Rocks: Ice Revolution, Towers of the Ennedi, Cold and Reel Rock: Sketchy Andy were the other films to be screened selected from 300 entries for screening in 390 communities in 35 countries around the world.
The Queenstown screening will be held in the Remarkables Primary School hall, Frankton, on August 19.
Doors open at 6.30pm for the 7pm start. Tickets cost $15 per member of the New Zealand Alpine Club, or $20 for non-members. Tickets will be available from R&R Sport Queenstown, the club online and at the door.
