THE St Hilda’s Old Girls’ Association was formed in 1919 with Mrs Florence Livingstone as the first President.
Branches of the Association were formed throughout New Zealand; an Auckland branch still exists today.
When the Association was formed its aims were ‘‘to create a bond of fellowship between the former members of the school, and to help them carry out the school’s ideals of loyalty, self-discipline, and public-spirited service’’.
Today, the Old Girls’ Association has a membership of over 2000 Old Girls, and holds events around the country, connects current girls with mentors, and carries on certain traditions such as presenting the girls with flowers at the Leavers’ Service and to the Dux at Prizegiving. The Old Girls’ Association warmly welcomes all of our Old Girls, staff, board members, Tolcarne staff, parents, and families to the 125th Anniversary Celebrations.
