Lower Hutt bus driver Herman Curry, who was found unconscious beside his bus after finishing a Friday night shift, will be farewelled today.
His funeral will be held at St Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Avalon, Lower Hutt at 11am.
NZ bus has cancelled all Valley and Airport Flyer buses between 9am and 2pm so staff can attend the funeral.
Police initially thought Mr Curry died as the result of an assault after a robbery went wrong, but later said he died from a medical condition.
His money box was missing and two young men have since been charged with theft and have appeared in the Lower Hutt District Court.
Police have said it is unlikely any further charges will be laid.
