The pay rates of elected local government officials is set by the Remuneration Authority, which determined the "current prevailing economic conditions" prompted it to maintain current rates.
Councillors will be paid the same rate until June 30 next year.
Mayor Aaron Hawkins will be paid $166,500 and deputy mayor Christine Garey will receive $90,790.
Committee chairmen and women will be paid $85,786 and other councillors will be paid up to $71,488.
Community board members will not receive a pay rise either.
In July, the authority also decided on a six-month reduction of up to 20% for elected members earning more than $100,000.
In April, Mr Hawkins pledged to give 10% of his salary over six months to Women’s Refuge and the Presbyterian Support Otago Foodbank.
A report on the local government members remuneration determination for the 2020-21 financial year will be discussed by the full council at its meeting on Tuesday.
