More than 900 people turned out in perfect conditions at the Queenstown Events Centre to make the most of their long Waitangi Weekend, at the Summer Day Out.
The crowds began to swell about 4.30pm entertained by Made in New Zealand, a band bed by Rikki Morris and Jackie Clarke and New Zealand singer Bex Murray, originally from Tekapo.
The headline act, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, returned to the resort following its successful concert at Gibbston Valley in March.
