Work has resumed on a major upgrade to Queenstown’s wastewater network, including the construction of a new pumping station at the resort’s recreation ground.

The project, which is being undertaken by contractor HEB Construction, began in mid-March but was suspended during the Covid-19 Level 4 lockdown.

It resumed last week and is expected to be completed early next year.

It also includes the construction of a pipeline to carry wastewater from the pumping station to the Frankton trunk sewer.
