Jesse Ryder has equalled the record for most sixes in a first-class match on his way to thrashing 175 as New Zealand reached 5-410 at tea on the final day of their clash with Australia A on Sunday.
Australia A were content to largely rest the three young quicks selected for next week's first Test at the Gabba - Ben Cutting, Mitchell Starc and James Pattinson.
But Ryder didn't show any mercy to a bowling line-up that, at one stage, boasted opener Ed Cowan, young batting star Nic Maddinson and big hitting David Warner.
Ryder equalled the record for most sixes also held by Andrew Symonds and England's Graham Napier - 16 - and hit 11 fours at the tiny Allan Border Field in his 137-ball knock.
Cowan copped the worst of it, conceding 28 runs in an over as Ryder thrashed four sixes and a four.
Ryder shared in a 108-ball, 122-run fifth-wicket stand with Dean Brownlie - the latter contributing only 19 runs as the big left-hander ran amok.
Ryder's fireworks finally fizzled when he poked an innocuous Maddinson delivery to Cowan at square leg.
Brownlie was 20 not out at the break.
Off-spinner Michael Beer (1-117 off 23 overs) and Steve Smith (0-95 off 16) also came off second best from Ryder.
