As the rugby nation waits with bated breath, Sonny Bill Williams has taken time out of his holiday to give a possible clue as to his playing future.

Williams was spotted at Sydney Airport yesterday, apparently heading to the exotic location of Panama, but he had a less glamorous destination on his mind today.

"I hear hamilton is nice,'' Williams tweeted, alluding to the home town of the Chiefs. They are one of number of sides home and abroad rumoured to be potential suitors for the 26-year-old.

With the Super 15 squad selections set to be officially announced on Wednesday, the NZRU was expected to confirm today whether it had managed to re-sign the All Blacks utility.

The signing saga has dragged on since he informed the world of his intention to leave the Crusaders, where he played last season. He delayed his decision until after the Rugby World Cup, but is understood to have made up his mind over the weekend.

Williams took to the social networking site yesterday to tell of his trip to the Central American country, though he had yet to pack. He was then seen in Sydney, caught up in the Qantas strike which grounded air traffic out of Australia over the weekend.
