More room for parking

Queenstown Lakes District council roading contractor Downer has carried out minor works to improve the safety of the overflow car park at Roys Peak.

A council spokesman said the works had included creation of a bund, a mound of soil, which would direct vehicles towards an appropriate access point for the car park, and the erection of extra "no parking" signs and "no stopping" road markings.
