A kitchen fire in the Dunedin suburb of Corstorphine today was caused by cooking that had been left unattended.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews were called to an Avondale St address at 11.56.
They found a small fire - caused by unattended cooking - which damaged the kitchen and roof.
Nobody was in the house at the time, he said.
Crews from Lookout Point, St Kilda, and Dunedin Central attended.
