Entries have already opened for the 2009 Contact Epic Round Lake Hawea mountain bike ride and race.
In an effort to control the growth of the event, LMS Events director Danielle Nicholson has limited numbers to about 1000 for the Anzac Day excursion, which will begin with a special dawn service on the Lake Hawea dam.
This year, entries closed off at 520, disappointing many late entrants.
