Clyde properties will be visited by Central Otago District Council contractors over coming weeks to assess wastewater systems and septic tanks.
The site visits are part of the preparatory work for the installation of Clyde's new wastewater system.
Council capital projects manager Patrick Keenan said it was important to understand the detail of each property and how it fitted into the new reticulated system.
Contractors will display identification.
They will not need to go inside dwellings, but will be outside on properties assessing factors such as the location of septic tanks and specific ground levels.
More than 150 properties in the central Clyde area will be assessed, as well as some outside the central area.
