Here comes the fun

Irish eyes were smiling from excitement when the 50-strong Ireland 2011 Rugby World Cup squad went on a Shotover Jet boat thrill ride through the Shotover Canyon, at Arthurs Point on Saturday.

The Irish camp took a break from training in Queenstown to enjoy one of the resort's popular attractions.

Players and managers were welcomed by Ngai Tahu Tourism southern region manager David Kennedy.

The boat pictured here was one of four the team occupied for the experience.
