Car crashes into Dunedin Town Belt

A car ended up wedged against a tree in Dunedin's Town Belt after crashing off the road this morning.

A police spokesman said it was called to the crash at 9am this morning after the car left the road and ended up in the Town Belt between Queens Drive and Newington Ave.

A photographer at the scene said one woman was removed from the car using a stokes basket and taken away by ambulance.

Another occupant was uninjured.
