Robyn Thorburn, who convenes the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists, said the 50th anniversary function, at Burns Hall on Saturday, had proved lively and enjoyable.
The activities included talks by former branch convener Heather Bray, who discussed the branch history, and Toitu Otago Settlers Museum curator and historian Sean Brosnahan, who also discussed aspects of genealogy, in ''How Things Have Changed'', his reflections on 30 years of genealogical research.
