A cyclist was taken to hospital with critical injuries this afternoon after suffering a medical event in Port Chalmers.
The event took place on Peninsula Beach Rd, about 4pm.
A St John spokeswoman said a patient was transported by ambulance.She had no information about the patient's gender or age.
