A man has been arrested after a police callout in central Dunedin this morning.
Several officers and a dog handler descended on Filleul St before 8am.
A witness at the scene said at least six or eight police appeared to be watching a building and waiting for someone to emerge.
A spokeswoman said the police presence related to a potential sighting of a person who has a warrant.
It was later confirmed an arrest had been made, but there were no details of any charges.
