A traffic hold-up caused by a broken-down truck on the Kingston road led to the apprehension of a disqualified driver yesterday.
Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said a motorist told police officers attending the truck incident they had been aggressively overtaken, and abused, by a male driver on State Highway 6 between Frankton and Kingston about 4pm.
A can was also thrown at them from the overtaking vehicle.
The vehicle's driver was later seen swapping places with his passenger.
When the offending vehicle was forced to stop at the truck incident a short time later, a police check found the man seen driving the car earlier was a disqualified driver from Lumsden, Sgt Watt said.
