For the second successive year, Lawrence boar and stag hunters (from left) Jim Crawford, Jock Martin, Darrell Cornish and Dave Brydie have won the Mornington Tavern Boar and Stag Hunt.

But the four are remaining tight-lipped about the secret to their success.

"We couldn't possibly tell you the secrets, other than to say, `don't stop hunting until the clock stops'," Mr Crawford said yesterday .

"We saw the big one at the last minute."

The team won the trophy for the heaviest bag of three - boar (60kg), red stag (112kg) and fallow buck (44kg) - in the competition.

Stags: Heaviest red stag, Jim Crawford, Jock Martin, Darrell Cornish, Dave Brydie and Stu Moore (112kg).
