A new residential development in Pisa Moorings may mean an address change for dozens of residents in the area.
A piece of land in Ferry Lane, off Pisa Moorings Rd, near Cromwell, is to be developed into residential sections, meaning neighbouring residents may need their homes renumbered.
A "proposed" option to renumber all properties in Ferry Lane was approved by the Cromwell Community Board this week.
Nearly 70 properties would be affected.A move to rename a section of Ferry Lane between Pisa Moorings Rd and an area of council reserve land was considered by board members.
A report from Central Otago District Council roading assistant Faye Somerville said this option would mean 65 existing properties would not be affected.
The report stated public consultation on any proposed changes in the area would be appropriate, due to the "interest to the community".
Feedback will be considered by the board at its meeting on August 20, the report said.
