• 7pm: All Shook Up male lead James Stephenson (25) sings and plays piano for the relaunch of the Friday Jazz Club, in Les Alpes. Free.

• 10pm: Subculture presents Crunkbox, the heaviest in hip-hop, house and dubstep, with a theatrical light show. Door sales $10 before midnight.

TOMORROW

• 10pm: Queenstown's own beats collective Pass the Sauce entertain at Dux de Lux. Free.

• 10pm: New Zealand drum 'n' bass and dubstep galore in Organikismness, in Subculture. Door sales $10.

• 8.30pm: Queenstown Film Society member Peter Thompson gives a pre-screening talk to fellow members on Home (2009), the epic French environmental documentary spanning 54 countries, on which he worked as a cameraman, at Dorothy Brown's Cinema, Arrowtown.

• 10pm: Rapper, musician, comic-artist and writer Coco Solid, of Auckland, brings her Pacific Rims album release tour to Subculture. Door sales $10.
