A Dunedin cat has used up two of its lives after becoming stuck in the same manhole twice today.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman said a Ravensbourne crew assisted an animal owner in Manapouri St, Maia, at 7.45pm.
They were able to rescue the animal from a manhole.
It was the second time it had happened that day, but firefighters did not assist the first time, he said.
