An early "dribble" of submissions to the Otago Regional Council's draft annual plan has come in, but staff members are expecting a late "torrent" next week.
Ratepayers have until May 2 to make a submission to the plan and the amendments to the 2009-19 long-term community plan, which include options for funding the Leith Lindsay flood protection scheme, and changes to the way flood and drainage works on the Taieri are rated.
Council corporate services director Wayne Scott said the council had held two information sessions in each of the affected areas.
"We've communicated directly and extensively with the public over the Leith Lindsay and the Taieri, and we really are looking for their views."
Just 11 submissions had been received.
