Forget the gardening. Flag that lunch at the mother-in-law's place. The vacuuming can wait. Do whatever you have to do to get out of your commitments.
Otago is hosting the one-day final at the University of Otago Oval on Saturday and you would not want to miss the conclusion to one of the best Cinderella storylines this year.
The Volts have finished dead last in the Ford Trophy for the past two seasons and were warm favourites to back up again following a raft of departures during the off season.
They also had to overcome a disappointing start to the campaign, which included a 193-run shellacking by Wellington at the Basin Reserve.
But they have won seven of their 10 games - their best season since 2006-07 when they also won seven - and will meet the winner of the elimination final between Auckland and Wellington.
That game is at Eden Park Outer Oval on Wednesday.
Wellington finished second but ceded the hosting rights.
It is the first time the Volts will host the one-day final since 2006-07 and that did not end well.
But whatever happens on Saturday, Otago coach Rob Walter will still be beaming with pride.
And why not? With his side finishing last in five of the last six tournaments, he had been under tremendous pressure.
He has had to put his faith in a younger group and they have rewarded him with some tenacious efforts.
"There is no doubt that for all of us this is just a huge, huge turnaround," Walter said.
"For us to end up at the top of the log from where we have been is a massive testament to the guys.
I keep saying no-one knows how much work goes on here.
This process started in the first week of June and the guys have been awesome with their willingness to learn and work hard.
"I'm already as proud as I can be with the way they have turned it around.
"Some people expected very little of us because of the people that left. But everyone on that field is set on achieving the same things. "From a coaching point of view, what more could you ask for, really?"
One more big effort, perhaps.
