Goodland Heights stage two yet to begin

Work on the first 24 sections at Goodland Heights was completed at the end of winter, but there is no timeline yet for the second phase of development - construction of 40 motel units and four apartment tower blocks - Goodland Group senior project manager Hari De Alwis says.

In 2016, Goodland Group demolished the old Oamaru hospital to make way for the development, which is planned to ultimately have 148 residential sections in total.

The group has owned the land and buildings on the site since 2004.

Oamaru's Spivey Real Estate lists 22 sections in the ``premier residential subdivision'' for sale, starting from $300,000.
