Brighton Club Fishing Competition entrants (from left) Mark Outhwaite, of Geraldine, Michael Miller, and son Anthony Miller, both of Brighton, show off their freshly caught blue cod and sea perch.

Along with Tony Mansfield (not pictured), the men spent the day about 20km off the coast of Brighton on Saturday aboard Camilla.

Anthony Miller said it was a slow day's fishing, the men netting about 3kg of fish.

Results were.-Blue cod: Peter Wharehinga, 2.72kg; groper: Bill Driver, 11kg; crayfish: Lee Mullen, 7.25kg; moki: Tim Greene, 2.72kg; greenbone: Lee Mullen, 1.22kg; Jock Stewart: Lee Mullen, 1.22kg; paua; Tony Newman, 0.52kg; trumpeter: Casey Patterson, 2.84kg; best all-round effort: Eddie Whalley.
