Dunedin Technical has bolstered its squad with four new signings ahead of the Southern Football League competition.

Southern United quartet Conor O’Keeffe, Danny Ledwith, Stephen Last and Garbhan Coughlan have joined the side for the league, which starts this weekend.

O’Keeffe, Ledwith and Last were three of the six Irish players Southern brought out in 2016.

The trio have remained in the South and played the majority of Southern’s games over the past two seasons, although they have not yet played winter football.

Meanwhile, Coughlan arrived in the South last year for the most recent national league season.

Tech coach Tony Martin was glad to have secured their signatures.

"These four players increase the level of quality in the squad as we prepare for the Southern Football League.

"I am very happy they are joining the club.

"I believe our players know how important these four new signings will be in our team."

Tech is  the top-qualifying team for the Southern Football League from the South federation.

It joins Queenstown FC and Southland United in the travelling league.

The Mainland federation supplies five teams in Cashmere Technical, Ferrymead Bays, Nomads United, Nelson Suburbs and Coastal Spirit.
