Mighty Memories set a track record of 2.42.9 for 2000m (mobile) at Roxburgh yesterday, two days after winning at Omakau.

He has now won three of his last five starts after changing ownership and joining the stable of Murray Swain two months ago.

Mighty Memories lowered the track record of 2.44.1 set two races earlier by San Rafaella.

She had bettered the record of 2.44.2 set by Te Kiwi Sunrise (2009) and Robyn Joan (2008).

Craig Thornley drove three winners and a second from six drives yesterday.
Thornley won with Indrah (Roxburgh Cup), San Rafaella and Another Player.

It was the third win in as many starts for San Rafaella. She will remain in Southland for the southern belle series with the second heat at Ascot Park tomorrow week.

She is raced by Spreydon Lodge and trained by Steven McRae.

''We bought her in Canada as a yearling and thought she was a Jewels horse last season as a 4yr-old, but she went wrong,'' Peter O'Rourke, the manager of Spreydon Lodge, said.

Indrah is also a contender for the southern belle series, creating a dilemma for Thornley as to which horse he will drive.

His wife, Joanne Burrows, is the trainer of Indrah and Thornley is the regular driver for Spreydon Lodge, which has San Rafaella.

''I just don't know which horse I will drive at this stage. I will have to discuss it with the owners,'' Thornley said.

Indrah is raced by Barry Harvey, of Darfield, who bought the mare after she won a trial.

She joined Burrows this season after winning five for McRae last season.
Another Player will be aimed at a series for 4yr-old trotting mares in Canterbury.

It was her fourth win in six starts since she was purchased last winter by Peter Chambers, of Jakarta.

The half-sister by Dr Ronerail to Interdominion winner Play On was then transferred to Burrows.

Another Player had won twice from four starts for owner-trainer Gavin Mills.

The Dolamite syndicate, which has been racing horses since 1972, won with El Capone yesterday.

The syndicate comprises Invercargill couples Ken and Barri McLeod, Vince and Jan Nally and Peter and Anne-Marie Robinson.

The syndicate bred El Capone, a 4yr-old by Elsu from Ballymena, who did not race due to a leg problem.

She is also the dam of winner Marcus Aurelius.

Ballymena is a half-sister by Badlands Hanover to Paddy O'Brien, winner of the 2005 Northern Southland Cup for the syndicate when trained by Tony Barron, who has El Capone.

Rojam Cullen was a runaway winner yesterday, coinciding with a positive test to Bettor's Delight for his sister, Kiwi Ingenuity.

She was retired in November after being injured in the New Zealand Cup.

Her owners, Hamish Scott and Kim Lawson, share the ownership of Rojam Cullen with Ram Reddy, of Auckland.

Skys The Limit, who had been placed in six of her nine starts, cleared maiden trotting ranks yesterday.

She is raced by her Leeston breeders, Stephen and Jo Blair.

She is by Armbro Invasion and the sixth winner from eight foals left by Twilight Zone, who died in 2005.

She is also the dam of Beyond The Stars and Reach For The Stars.
